This is J. Lahondere. I am egotistical enough to write a blog. Thank you for placating me.

It's been a good decade!

Ok, I realized it was the end of the first decade of the 21st century. I present what I feel were/are the best albums of the new century thus far (yeah, I'm counting 2000 in this). Let me also say this doesn't include all the millions of albums out there that I haven't gotten around to listening to quite yet. I'm actually extremely skeptical of most "new" music. I consider pretty much anything from the past decade "new," so these little guys ought to feel quite honored!

And now, the five very best albums of the aughts (in chronological order):

Grandaddy - The Sophtware Slump

Radiohead - Kid A

Midlake - The Trials of Van Occupanther

Porcupine Tree - Fear of a Blank Planet

American Music Club - The Golden Age

HOORAY!
